In sight of the current disaster in Haiti, Samadhi Yoga Studio in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle will be hosting a benefit on January 29th from 730 to 930 PM. Coordinators KT Shores and Jamie Carroll are bringing together some of the Northwest’s finest yoga instructors, kirtan musicians, massage therapists, and others to bring alive a traditional yoga satsang for humanitarian aid.

Satsang is a Sanskrit word meaning “the assembly of persons who listen to, talk about, and assimilate the truth”. The energy level of this night is expected to be extremely charging and peaceful. Each participant is highly regarded in the Seattle and international yoga community as devoted, talented and inspiring with their specific talents.

The night will begin with an Invocation and Puja by Rafe Pearlman and Kt Shores. Puja also a sanskrit word means to honor, worship or give devotional attention to a spiritual practice or simply put “evening prayer” . After the puja, Kt will guide us in a short silent meditation, leading into more musical offerings from Andy Gaurish, Karen Lindenburg and Paul Millage. Gina Salá and others will then lead us with traditional east indian group chanting and song with her amazing rhythms. Raffle winners will be announced mid program and silent auction results will be revealed at the end.  Some of the items include:
